Prof. Stefan Heiliger
“The chair is formal in design and its functions are focused on one axis: the person sits in the centre of the action, with footrests and trays rotating like satellites around the person seated. Subfunctions such as the inclinability of the back basin (using a self-releasing gas spring), the swivel action of the table and the adaptable nature of the footrest are to be taken for granted. The additive, skeletal structure with its visible functionality played a predominant role in the formal design and was also a driving force behind it.“
